ALMO Film is a production company based in Nice and Biarritz specialized in documentary and advertising production, with a specific focus on the action sports and outdoor industry. I had the privilege of being involved with ALMO Film as the line producer for an exciting project for Xiaomi Global. The movie, captured entirely using the new Xiaomi 14 alongside Leica Cameras, tells the journey of three mountain bikers as they ride various landscapes from sunrise to sunset. This week-long shoot took place in the scenic Maritime Alps and charming villages in southern France.
The task of managing logistics in remote outdoor locations, overseeing a team of 13 people, brought unique challenges. But what made this project stand out was its avant-garde nature: the ALMO Film team pioneered the use of specific and unique rigs, resulting in captivating images that pushed the boundaries of conventional filmmaking.
In my role as a line producer, managing the complexities of logistics in outdoor and quite remote locations was incredibly gratifying. The outcome is a cinematic piece that not only highlights Xiaomi’s mobile technology but also beautifully captures the spirit of adventure and the natural beauty.
