In summer 2024, The Missing Piece was in charge of an interesting project for Icebreaker. The shoot was about the latest capsule collection, a collaboration between Icebreaker and Protect Our Winters (POW), environmental organization dedicated to fighting climate change through the outdoor sports community.
The collection featured a striking aerial image of a melting glacier printed on Icebreaker’s merino wool baselayers. The concept was to photograph the collection in the same environment as the glacier print, reinforcing the campaign’s powerful message and the purpose of the collaboration with POW. This capsule collection is part of a broader initiative under the claim « What melts up there, matters down here » , which also includes the documentary « Down Stream ».
The shoot took place on a glacier between Italy and Switzerland, with the location identified through the support of Pangea Location Scouting. The Missing Piece managed the entire production process, connecting creative talents Teo Giovanni Poggi (photography) and Matteo Bico (video), coordinating the casting, overseeing logistical arrangements, and supervising post-production.
On the brand’s side, the campaign was led by Nicolo Sabbatini, with Federico Paviani providing artistic direction for Icebreaker.
